Ryan and I go camping each summer. It’s a fun tradition, gets us outside, gets us out the city and traffic and away from people. Plus, I loooove smores and pretty much anything cooked over a fire. Our annual trip (hopefully the first of a few for 2009) is this weekend, so I thought I’d write up a few of our camping tips in case you haven’t ventured into the woods ...

I’m in desperate need of new shoes. Something comfortable that I can wear everyday that go with jeans and skirts. All my non-heels right now (and I don’t work in a dressy office, so heels make a rare appearance) give me blisters. Seriously. The one pair I wear constantly is falling apart and make my feet smell.

Kind of makes me ...

Without further adieu, here are the Maggie Rose Rules of the Rookie Apartment:
1. Paint is your best friend. Even if your landlord would freak at ...

The main problem with apartment living is a lack of storage space. My little one-bedroom is no exception. While I lucked out and have a walk-in closet, it doesn’t really do to keep cleaning supplies next to my sweaters and skirts. Because my unit is in an awkward corner of the building, I also gained some extra square footage in my “laundry closet” where a stacked washer and dryer share space with the hot water ...
