Even before we moved in together, I had started decorating our new apartment. When Ryan agreed to the idea of a gallery wall, I was really excited to finally get to pull some of my favorite pieces out of my “to be framed” file, and also create and purchase new pieces to round it out. When I shared some of my seasonal photos earlier this week, my girl Jackie was asking about this stocking. In fact, I made it myself and you can too! A few years old, but still a great idea for a Halloween wedding. Why not use this same idea for your own home-bound pumpkin carving ideas (or pumpkin painting, for those who can’t be trusted with sharp objects!)? Been brainstorming Halloween costumes. Here are some of our ideas for adult costumes. Three weeks ago I hosted a bridal shower for my friend Melissa (who is getting married this weekend!). The theme was Plates and Panties, but you’ll see from her loot that not too many ladies brought plates… This is a project for anyone who has been packing for a trip and realizes she doesn’t want to throw her shoes in with her white tee, or someone who commutes to work in rubber boots but wants to change to heels when she comes out of the rain. Sound familiar? I’m not usually a big advocate for favors (this isn’t the Oscars, you don’t get a goodie bag), but these were easy enough that I just went for it. They helped pull in the color scheme and will be a nice treat for the guests after they leave. |
