I was looking through my inspiration folders the other day and noticed a funny trend. I save all kinds of photos, but the kitchens I choose almost always have some kind of glass door cabinets.

Now, realistically I would never have ALL glass cabinets. Storage is there to store things – and not all things I want to display (like Crisco, crackers, tin foil…). But I love when there is a cabinet or two, or maybe a special built-in unit, that features a few see-through cabinets. Or heck, ditches the glass all together (chicken wire, anyone?).

Yum. Now you all know what my future kitchen (once I own a home and can demo the heck out of it) will look like!

i am ALL about open shelving or see through cabinets. i can’t stand putting my hand into a dark space where i can’t see what i’m reaching for.

I love all those cabinets, and the chicken wire is perfect for a country home. Now I’m yearning for my very own house!

My parents have cabinets like this in their beautiful kitchen and I’ve always loved them! I really like the 3rd photo with the white tiling and the beautiful dark wood cabinets! I’m a huge fan of white tiling in kitchens. And when you said chicken wire, I went “wha?” but it totally works!

I can’t say i would EVER add chicken wire to a cabinet…so that is a NO NO for me. I do LOVE that second pic, that is what i would choose for my dream kitchen! All white…
