Street styleI love absolutely everything about this outfit, seen on The Sartorialist. Love the distressed jeans with the casual tops and shrunken blazer.I kind of desperately want a pair of shoes like these. And that is the exact bag I’ve been searching for to carry on my commute. Think this one could pass on the same wavelength? It’s from Old Navy, and it’s on sale for a whopping $18.99. How are you guys feeling about the whole rolled up boyfriend/distressed jean look? I like it in pictures but have yet to try it out myself. Hard to believe that a short gal like me could pull it off (I’m 5’1″). 10 comments to Street style |

Happy New Year!
Love the purse in the picture (although I think I did see it in the store and it was slightly less impressive there).
Love the rolled up jeans, too. I’ve been trying it out with a pair I got at JCrew outlet for about $20. I’ve figured out that they must be paired with something feminine to not look too frumpy. Otherwise, they kind of just look like baggy jeans left over from the 80s.
I’m not really a fan of the distressed jeans to begin with – some women can pull it off but I don’t think it’s something I would try. I’m short too (5’2) and I think it would just make me look frumpy.
I saw the purse in person and actually really liked it! I was impressed, especially for the price. I am loving the rolled up jeans look! When I don’t have boots on, that is pretty much the only way I wear my jeans now!
ps. and the oxfords I LOVE – still trying to decide though if I could actually pull those off!
Totally one of my favorite looks recently. I’m dying to know what the bag is! Seems you’ve found a pretty good substitute!
I love this look too! But as a petite girl myself, I feel I always must wear heels
That ON bag is pretty amazing…I wonder if it comes in black?
xo,
Crystal
Crystal,
I think it might have come in black originally but now they only have this blue (yesterday they had “chinchilla” too, but it looks like it’s sold out!)
Piperlime has some similar ones for a little more.
xoxo Maggie
Love this look but have to wait a few more months before the heavy overcoat comes off in London’s worst Winter for a long time – blech! Also check out my 25 Best Blogs of 2009 list at: http://www.cricketwife.com/2010/01/25-best-blogs-of-2009-part-1.html
i saw that bag at old navy recently (in black) and it falls really nicely and feels more expensive then it is…
I’m 5 1″ too! lol… I think you definitely need heels with rolled cuffs… at least I feel like I do!
