Have a spectacular weekend! My dears, thank you for a great week. I’m so excited for next week! I have a fun interview for you with a hot new blogger, and will be guesting about packing for vacation. And I have a little project I’m wrapping up this weekend that you will love. I just uploaded these photos from my phone, and thought you’d like to see some of our beautiful corner of the country. Ry and I took these a couple weeks ago when we spent most of the first beautiful Saturday of the summer on the go! (And ignore my hair, the wind was doing something funky to my part). ![]() A glimse of Mt. Rainier from under the Aurora Bridge (it's directly over that silver truck, on the horizon). ![]() Ryan is much taller than me ![]() Tried to get the mountain in the background. Fail. ![]() We wandered around Gasworks Park after a hot-dog dinner in Wallingford. ![]() The lake and city were so clear and beautiful. ![]() On our way home we passed this HUGE rhodie and I made Ryan pull over so I could get a picture! Here’s what I’m up to THIS weekend: 1. Wishing a Happy Father’s Day to the coolest dad ever! Love you! 2. My folk’s annual Solstice party (I’ll miss the Fremont parade, unfortunately). 3. Finishing up a project. 4. Returning a top and shoes to Charlotte Russe (sad), but keeping the sandals (yay!). 5. Hopefully getting outside if the weather doesn’t get icky again. What are you up to? 5 comments to Have a spectacular weekend! |

Looks like ya’ll had a great day! It’s party and cake(!) for me this weekend. Have a great one!
oh, my husband is a foot taller than me; I know how you feel
I’m catching up on my Magchunk while I have a free second. Miss you tons! So sad I won’t be partying it up like the true summer solstice fan that I am! Work the drums for me!
P, Call me girl! We have catching up to do!!!!
M
You didn’t miss much at the Solstice Parade… just a whole lotta naked. Seriously, it’s one thing to do the naked biking, but to mingle and dance with the crowd afterwards? Awkward. I usually enjoy the parade, but this year it was much more “girls gone wild” than I’d prefer!!
PS- I sympathize on the tall boyfriend issue. I’m 5’3″, and my boyfriend towers over me at 6’7″. People actually point and laugh.
Elizabeth,
Yeah, I’m not so into the naked mingling. What if you ran into them next week at Starbucks? “Would you like whipped cream on that? (snicker snicker)” Just bad.
And I wouldn’t point and laugh at you guys! And its not so much that Ry is particularly tall… I’m the overly short one! But I do like being the small “delicate” one
It’s the girly girl in me. ~ Maggie
